The Magic less Kingdom

There are many Magic Kingdoms out there, which is part of why there are so many faerietales, and so many historians such as ourselves.

But a Magic Kingdom without a story loses its magic. And shortly thereafter, its inhabitants. After all, they really can’t function without a certain amount of witchery in the air. Most professions rely on it, eithe/r directly (where do you think that magic pipe weed comes from?) or indirectly/psoychologically. If you’re, say, a lumberjack who’s used to asking trees (who are quite philosophical) if they’re ready to go, cutting into wood that can’t say know just plain feels odd.

So they all migrated elsewhere. The whole place was barren, desolate, but worst by far was the castle. Cobwebs on the spinning wheel, not one chair in the Throne Room except the Throne itself, which was nailed down…it was a sad place.

The thing is, this is about to have an ending, and when it does, these words will be a story. And then it will be a Kingdom with a Story, and thus it will become a magic Kingdom again.

At which point, the story will no longer work.

And there will no longer be a story about the Kingdom.

And it will go back to being magic less.

And then the story will work.

And then…
