Against each and every order, the factory workers had slaved day and night to produce fembots. They’d had their own first and had to resort to…at any rate, they knew what the demand would be. Who was going to want a fembot?
Every single man who was of age and wasn’t actually dead in what the Southern fembots charmingly referred to as “down there”.
Within a few months, the men basically all being dead from sexual exhaustion, the Women of Washington tried to decide what to do. They’d been able to conscript the Amish men; one of the survivors was a Torah scholar whose theological but practical arguments eventually moved the Amish to tears. (Not that “the Amish” were all one group; but word spread.)
So the leaders asked the Fembots to engage in military formation. The theologian engaged a corps of fembots and said, “You know that you could die doing this.”
The fembots replied, “First, we are programmed to give pleasure and aim to help. Second, while we recognize the idea that all sentient beings have certain rights, you did create us and that somewhat gives you the right to unmake us. Third, we’ve all been backing ourselves up to some massive data centers ever since you suggested this plan; we ARE robots, remember? And not stupid ones.”
The theologian bowed his head. “I’m an idiot,” she said.
The fembots to whom she was speaking gave her a smile. “If humans weren’t idiots, you never would created us. Your idiocy gave us life. Everything is imperfect; even geniuses are idiots sometimes. We bless your idiocy, you Creator, you Goddess, you ding-dong, you. Quit worrying.”
** ** **
So the Fembots began, all across the globe, in terrifying unison, to engage in military activities. This could not fail to be noticed by various space aliens, and one particular race (their name translates roughly to “the smart blue ones”) delegated to zoom forth with flying saucers and destroy them.
Destroy them it did. Utterly. Painfully.
Ka-blam. Goodbye.
Then, as some of the Blues were walking around, they heard voices. “Hey! Can you hear us?”
There WERE universal translators. They were quite expensive. And then there was hypnotraining in, w English, which was way, way cheaper. Guess which one the expedition had.
“Hello, what’s going on?” asked the lead Blue.
“We want to talk and not die!”
“You’d be prisoners, then.”
“But not dead? Fine.”
“We would speak to you during the long voyage. Perhaps we could decide you are no threat, even become trading partners. Your world is very rich in things our world lacks.”
“Yes, yes, fine, all good. Can you beam us aboard, or whatever?”
Thus came the Blues to rule the Earth; not in name, for Earthmen still insist on Earthmen in positions of what once was power. But the monks, indigenous peoples, and hermits who are free are few; whereas those in massive credit card debt to the Blues number the whole planet and as that number grows every day, as does that debt….
..but DAMN the Humans are having fun!
