There I was, having finished “A Goblincore Guide To Life”, and THEN having finished the third book in the Dark Lord trilogy (tentatively titled “Rock! Stone! The Dark Lord and the Dwarves”), and my brain started writing all these Villianpunk stories. At the time of this writing, I’ve got about…60 pieces of microfiction and standalone poetry?
Here’s one hot off the metaphorical press.
My theory was basic and moral;
My test method simple, not fancy
Debating the ethical ramifications
Of utilized Necromancy.
I summoned a thousand professors
Of philosophy, ethics, anthropology
(And three physicists, one electrician,
One expert on Topology.)
I summoned them right out of their graves
And they came to this college, shambling
I handed out questionnaires written with care
All to the point. No rambling.
Each of the thousand corpses,
All of the dead animated
Acted individually;
They couldn’t have coordinated.
And I got a thousand answers
To, “Is it right that you’re back from the Tomb?”
Every single answer was “YES!”
In a loud and unwavering boom.
That proves it. That solves it. Now we know.
These results really make a true difference.
It sure proves they prefer voting ‘Yes’
To returning to nonexistence.
