I snuck this poem into the World;
Don’t tell my writer friends.
I could finish the whole book now
By telling you how it ends.
If only, oh! If only, oh!
If only, only this:
If anyone knew the ending,
I’m sure it would be bliss.
If I could only tell the outcome
I’d tell you all of it, and then some
It’s like a spiky metal fence:
All this gosh-damned Ignorance.
(Ignorance is like a weed
That you thought was a flower:
It’s still just as beautiful,
But just a little sour.)
I’d laugh and through you spoiler-makers
Then sit at the bar sucking boilermakers
(If only!) And it does hurt –
But I don’t know the ending, so I’ll be curt:
Avoid rocks falling, where everyone dies?
Avoid Liches, lest they rise.
Avoid traps full of spiky pits
Avoid the worst things in life.
Try to keep the enjoyable bits.
