Once upon a time, there were these three princes who died before they had a chance to be part of this fairy tale.
(And the little ones chewed on the bones.)
Ooops.
Then, there were three fairy godmothers: one who only gave people what they wanted, one who only gave people what they needed, and one who only gave people gigantic amounts of mashed potatoes.
The first two agreed, but the captive princess was covered in mashed potatoes before they realized the third fairy godmother didn’t exist.
Before disappearing in a puff of logic, the third fairy godmother brought into being three simple peasant lads, one who only told the truth, one who only lied, and one who bit you really hard if you asked difficult questions.
Sadly, you were busy disappearing in a puff of logic when the peasant lad with the teeth was busy chewing on humans.
A powerful health organization stopped by to check on everything and determined that nobody present was capable of eating anything there without getting terribly ill. The head there had read a lot of Darwin’s recent works, though, and thought it would be evolution.
That entire line died out.
So it goes.
